A man wanted for a double murder in Pennsylvania was located and arrested on Main Street Sunday by Sarasota Police Department officers.

On Sept. 25, Sarasota police officers arrested Brandin Lee Kasick, 26, for a double homicide arrest warrant from Fogelsville, Pa. The warrant was issued on Sept. 21.

Officers, according to a news release, “flooded the downtown area Sunday searching for Kasick after they were alerted that he was wanted for murder and had been seen in Sarasota. “

Sarasota Police Officer John Neri located Kasick in the 1300 block of Main Street in J. D. Hamel Park and arrested him just before 7 p.m.

Officers Andrew Slaughter and Louis Buck participated in the search and transported Kasick to Sarasota County Jail.

Kasick is scheduled for a court appearance later today and no bond is available for the double homicide charge.
