Bird Key home sells for $5.25 million

RPF Developments Inc., a Florida corporation, sold the home at 675 Mourning Dove Drive to Kevin Kiernan, trustee of 675 Nominee Trust, for $5.25 million. Details about the newly constructed home were not available on the Sarasota County Property Appraiser’s website, sarasotaproperty.net. The property last sold for $2 million in December.

The sale was the largest of the six transactions recorded at the Sarasota and Manatee county courthouses during the week of Sept. 12 through Sept. 16, during which three sales were recorded on Longboat Key, one of which was in Manatee County. One sale each took place on Lido, St. Armands and Bird keys. Of the week’s sales, three exceeded $1 million.

Country Club Shores
585 Schooner Lane LLC, a Delaware limited-liability company with an Allendale, N.J., address, sold the home at 585 Schooner Lane in Country Club Shores Unit II to Michael and Diane Schmidt for $2.3 million. Built in 1994, the 5,620-square-foot home has four bedrooms, four-and-a-half bathrooms and a swimming pool. It last sold for $1,525,000 in November 1994.

Longboat Shores
Jonathan Bridgford and David Browning, co-trustees of the John Bass III Trust, sold the home at 3475 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Thirty-Four Seventy-Five LLC, a Florida limited-liability company with a Coventry, R.I., post office address, for $1.35 million. Built in 1956, the 800-square-foot home has two bedrooms and three bathrooms.

Sleepy Lagoon Park
Mechthild Kreissle, of Sarasota, sold the vacant Lot 40 at 600 De Narvaez Drive in Sleepy Lagoon Park to Anthony and Roxanne Marterie, of San Rafael, Calif., for $292,600. The canal-front lot is just under a quarter-acre.

Lido Beach
Ronald and Kathie Hermann, of Sarasota, sold the home at 165 Tyler Drive in Lido Beach Division B of the John Ringling Estates to Brian Moran and Lenore Savio, husband and wife, of Hillsborough, N.J., for $440,000. Built in 1939, the 1,184-square-foot home has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It last sold for $374,000 in May 2002.

Sarasota Harbour
Eileen Burnjas, of Sarasota, sold Unit 6 at the Hawthorne House in Sarasota Harbour East Apartments, 777 John Ringling Blvd., to Kathleen Lauder, a married person, and Michele Villeneuve, a single person, as joint tenants in common with a post office address in Ottawa, Canada, for $280,000. Built in 1965, the 938-square-foot unit has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It last sold for $75,000 in September 1995.
