Braden River High senior Nathan Kirkman won the 199-pound weight class of the Class 2A-District 7 state qualifier April 4 at Charlotte High.
Kirkman benched 340 pounds and cleaned 315 pounds for a combined lift of 655 pounds.
Kirkman will advance to the Class 2A state finals April 20-21 at the Kissimmee Civic Center.
