1. Bill Carman thinks the greatest car chase from movies was Steve McQueen in Bullitt.

2. In 1972, Carman helped start the Longboat Key Rescue squad before there was an ambulance

3. Carman’s parents opened Carman’s Shoes and Handbags in 1965. Bill Carman joined them in ‘69 and before that he owned a store in Ann Arbor called “Carman’s Shoe Salon.”

4. Carman served in Vietnam as an air traffic controller and volunteer door-gunner in helicopters. He also has aviation collectables in his garage.

5. Carman went from tricycles, to bicycles to working two jobs to get a ’56 Lambretto motor scooter when he was 14. It was technically his first motorized vehicle.
