Three-bedroom Bird Key home sells for $2,175,000

The following residential real-estate transactions took place between July 16 and July 20. A home on Bird Key tops all transactions in this week’s real estate. George and Cheryl Pintea, of Sarasota, sold their home at 635 N. Owl Drive to S. Merrell Stearns, of Sarasota, for $2,175,000. Built in 2010, it has three bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths, a pool and 5,180 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1,855,000 in 2010.

L’Ambiance at Longboat Key Club
Ellen Hoenig-Carlson and Karen Rigamonti, trustees, sold the Unit A-201 condominium at 415 L’Ambiance Drive to Barbara DePau, trustee, of Vincentown, N.J., for $1.9 million. Built in 1992, it has three bedrooms, three baths, two half-baths and 3,220 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $935,000 in 1993.

Water Club at Longboat Key
Selwyn Roth and Elinor Roth, trustees, of New York, sold the Unit 403 condominium at 1241 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Lee and Terry Dubin, of Charlotte, N.C., for $1,385,000. Built in 1996, it has three bedrooms, four baths and 3,045 square feet of living area.

The Shore
Fred and Rita Richman, of New York, sold their Unit 218 condominium at 5757 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Stephen Dull, trustee, of Greensboro, N.C., for $970,000. Built in 1975, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 2,236 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $725,000 in 2000.

Beverly Coucill, of Vineland, N.J., sold her Unit 303 condominium at 2675 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Michael and Cheryl Absher, of Marion, Ill., for $655,000. Built in 1979, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,896 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $129,500 in 1979.

Emerald Point South
David and Kathryn Potts, of Duluth, Ga., sold their Unit 12 condominium at 1910 Harbour Links Circle to Steven Josias and Marlene Josias, trustees, of Odessa, for $647,000. Built in 2002, it has three bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths and 2,462 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $945,000 in 2006.

Beachplace
Joseph Grano Jr., of New York, sold his Unit 302 condominium at 1045 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Scott Salick and Rosemarie Salick, trustees, of Nashotah, Wis., for $600,000. Built in 1981, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,392 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $248,000 in 1985.

Robert and Marjorie Stem, of Chester, N.J., sold their Unit 105 condominium at 1085 Gulf of Mexico Drive to 5 Butler Terrace Properties Inc. for $440,000. Built in 1981, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,819 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $315,000 in 1999.

Bird Key
Lisa Kaelberer, trustee, of Sarasota, sold the home at 217 Bird Key Drive to Sharon MacDonald, of Nova Scotia, Canada, for $485,000. Built in 1962, it has four bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and 1,913 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $170,000 in 1981.

Tarawitt Drive
Byron and Diane Sax sold their home at 710 Tarawitt Drive to Bankunited for $524,300. Built in 1980, it has four bedrooms, two baths and 2,172 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $325,000 in 2001.

Bayport Beach and Tennis Club
Sally Frey, of Longboat Key, sold her Unit 809 condominium at 809 Bayport Way to Jack Governale and Margaret Laub, of Summit, N.J., for $330,000. Built in 1981, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,456 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $219,000 in 1999.

Spanish Main Yacht Club
Margaret Knudson, trustee, of Morris, Ill., sold the Unit 174 condominium at 895 Spanish Drive S. to Richard Knudson and Patricia Knudson, of Longboat Key, for $300,000. Built in 1968, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,399 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $76,000 in 1979.

Thomas Chaipelas, of Flossmoor, Ill., sold his Unit 155 condominium at 548 Spanish Drive N. to Linda Adrian, of Longboat Key, for $250,000. Built in 1967, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,357 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $265,000 in 2004.
