Extra Innings Sarasota hosts Wood Bat World Series

The Tampa Tide went 5-0 throughout the tournament, defeating the Airo Athletics 10-1 to capture the Sandlott 12U Wood Bat World Series Championship.

Extra Innings Sarasota hosted the 12U Wood Bat World Series July 26-29 in Lakewood Ranch.

The Tampa Tide defeated the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles 11-3 and the Airo Athletics defeated the Sarasota Wildcats 8-3 to advance to the championship game. The Tide finished the tournament undefeated with 10-1 victory over the Athletics to capture the Sandlott 12U Wood Bat World Series Championship.

Chase Wilson was named the Home Run Champion and James Renaud was named the Road Runner Champion. The Tide’s Aaron Scott was named the tournament MVP.
