Well, it took me about 15 years and Chef Pedro of The Table Creekside to convince me to join him for lunch at the newly renovated Philippi Creek Oyster Bar. He had me at "grilled fresh grouper low-carb taco." Seriously fresh, amazingly moist, flavorful and grilled to perfection with a slight edge of blackening seasoning, this classic indigenous Florida fish settled into fresh butter lettuce leaves, creamy avocado and luscious house-made pico de gallo.

The new feel at the classic Oyster Bar is Florida Keys tiki casual---come right off the beach and into a frozen key lime colada and that oh-so-good low-carb fish taco. Yeah, of course you can get a wonderful snapper taco, fried in a crisp shell with crumbled feta and creamy avocado, too---but this one on butter lettuce is real Florida taste. Next time I won’t wait more than 48 hours for another great lunch!

I guess I can “can a phrase” and say, "Meet me at the Creek!"
