Siesta Key Association Vice President Peter van Roekens yesterday revealed plans submitted to Sarasota County to build homes on two lots north of the Terrace condominium complex to association members.

Roekens noted that few of his neighbors in the condo complex, nor SKA, received notices of zoning variance requests to build about 200 feet seaward of the threshold restricting coastal construction.

The Terrace East board of directors will discuss the requests, Roekens said in an email.

Pick up a copy of the Dec. 13 issue of the Pelican Press for building plans and a rundown of the SKA meeting.
