5:54 a.m. — Gulf of Mexico Drive and General Harris Street. Property Damage. Police found a bicycle at a bus bench.

After hours
3:47 a.m. — 4000 block of GMD. Suspicious Person. After hours police found and warned two people on the beach after seeing their vehicle parked near a convenience store.
What a tool
9:48 a.m. —Norton Street and General Harris Street. Larceny From Boat. A man reported that someone entered his boat and stole approximately $200 worth of tools.
Washed ashore
10:58 a.m. — 200 block of GMD. Assist Other Agency. Police helped a county worker retrieve a waterway marker that washed up on the Key.
Dumpster diving
11:36 p.m. — 4800 block of GMD. Suspicious Circumstance. A man said that he thought it was OK to Dumpster dive after police noticed his vehicle on a construction site. He had noticed workers throwing away Styrofoam earlier and didn’t have time to ask them for it, so he returned after his restaurant shift was completed. Police gave him a warning for trespassing on a construction site.

Wrong number
11:26 a.m. — 2100 block of GMD. Abandoned 911 Call. A condo manager said that an abandoned 911 call came from a resident who misdialed a number.

Fuzzy memory
9:54 a.m. — 400 block of N. Shore Road. Suspicious Circumstance. A man became visibly nervous when police asked him about past arrests. He said he believes his past arrest was for kicking in his girlfriend’s door several years ago, and he also advised that he may have pawned a gold necklace about a month ago. The man was stopped for parking on private property, which he did because it was close to his fishing spot. Police cautioned him against parking or walking on private property on the Key.

Multiple warnings
12:33 a.m. — 100 block of N. Shore Road. Camping. Police saw two people on the beach after hours, one case of beer and one dog with them, adding up to four violations of town ordinances: camping, trespassing after hours and alcohol and dogs on the beach. The man and woman said they didn’t see the posted signs and received warnings.
Cut calls
9:04 a.m. — 4100 block of GMD. Harassing Phone Call. A dog groomer reported that a man has called, texted and emailed her multiple times because he wasn’t happy with the service. Police told her to inform the man that she no longer wants him as a client and to call if the situation escalates. The report didn’t indicate whether the dog was happy with its haircut.

7:40 p.m. — 3000 block of GMD. Soliciting. A resident reported that a man knocked on his door and tried to sell him something. Police located the man, who said that he was selling magazine subscriptions and was unaware that the town requires a soliciting permit.

Show me the money
12:22 p.m. — 5400 block of GMD. Public Service. A woman went to an ATM, inserted her card and requested $300. The machine didn’t dispense money but gave her a receipt indicating that the $300 plus a $3 service fee had been withdrawn. The bank gave her a phone number to call for service because its ATM is handled separately.
Fire extinguishers
6:19 p.m. — 100 block of N. Shore Road. Code Enforcement. Three people who had a small fire on the beach put out the fire and buried the remnants. They received a warning.

Closing time
1:26 a.m. — 700 block of Broadway. Trespassing. Police told four people fishing off of a restaurant’s dock that when the restaurant is closed, the dock is also closed.
