How to make conch salad

Here's the recipe for you to try at home:

Ingredients

  • Conch meat
  • Juice of 1 small orange
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 1 small red onion, diced
  • 1 small tomato, diced
  • ½ red and/or green bell pepper, diced
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt, or more to taste
  • ½ teaspoon pepper, or more to taste

For some extra spice you can add ½ teaspoon minced habanero chile, but be careful: A little will go along way and too much will overpower the other delicious flavors!

Directions

1. Once you have removed the conch from its shell and separated the edible meat, slice the conch meat into ¼-inch pieces. Place the conch in a large glass bowl.

2. Add the citrus juices, onion, tomato, bell pepper, salt and pepper and toss to combine. Cover with plastic wrap and chill if you wish to save the salad for a little later.
