FALSE ALARM
12 p.m. — 700 block Benjamin Franklin Drive. Lost Property. An officer responded to a call of a possible theft. A resort worker reported that an iPhone was stolen, but it was later determined that the iPhone was just misplaced.
WILD RIDE
5 p.m. — 1500 block Main Street. Motor Vehicle Theft. A resident reported that his vehicle was stolen. He told officers that he parked his Nissan on Main Street and took a cab home at the end of the night. An officer checked to make sure the vehicle had not been towed from its parking spot.

’ROID RAGE
1:28 a.m. — 400 block John Ringling Blvd. Dispute. A resident reported a muscular man pushing a woman. Both parties left the area.
CLUMSY KLEPTO
2:22 p.m. — 500 block Beneva Road. Petit Theft. A woman left a store with $249 worth of merchandise in her purse. Outside the store, a security officer approached the woman and found several articles of stolen clothing, jewelry and a set of automated flashing lights in her purse. The incident was captured on the store’s video system and police took the woman to jail.
DOGGIE DAYCARE
9:02 p.m. — 3700 Breezemont Drive. Noise Violation. A resident reported that his neighbor’s dogs had been barking for several hours. An officer went to the address and was unable to contact anyone — except the two loudly barking dogs caged in the pool area.
HARD CRIMINALS
10 p.m. — 400 block Allendale Street. Criminal Mischief. A homeowner walked outside to discover that someone had knocked over a decorative gate outside her home. She went into great detail regarding “other incidences” that have occurred involving her neighbors. An officer spoke with several children and a grandmother next door, and all of them deny any wrongdoing.

DINE AND DASH
7:20 a.m. — 1900 block Main Street. Petit Theft. Two young men and two young women dined at a restaurant and left without paying. Later in the evening, the waitress and a security officer found the group. The manager of the restaurant said she wanted to press charges and police arrested one of the group members.

THE MORE THE MERRIER?
11 p.m. — 1100 block Myrtle Street. Landlord Tenant Dispute. A renter gave a landlord $600 for rent and various move-in fees. The landlord gave the renter a key, but when the renter arrived to move in to the apartment, he found someone else’s belongings.
Dec. 12
WACKY WEED
2:50 a.m. — 10 S. Lime Avenue. Suspicion narcotics. An officer searched a suspect and found a blue bag of herbal potpourri synthetic marijuana. The suspect was transported to jail, and the synthetic marijuana was placed in police property.
