Fundraiser set for Main Street

Residents wishing to help children achieve academic and personal success now can lace up their sneakers and race for the cause.

Take Stock in Children of Manatee County will host its third annual Take Stock in Children 10K/5K/Fun Run Feb. 26, on Lakewood Ranch Main Street. The 10K starts at 7:30 a.m., while the 5K starts at 7:45 a.m. and the Fun Run starts at 8:15 a.m.

Festivities will include a post-race party with food, entertainment, raffles, age-group awards and more.
Individuals can register for the race at www.takestock10k.com. The first 1,000 registrants will receive a T-shirt.
