Three-bedroom Water Club II condo sells for $2.2 million

Laurie Brandenborg, of Wayzata, Minn., sold her Unit 602 condominium at 1281 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Steven Bush, Longboat Key, for $2,212,500. Built in 1999, it has three bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths and 3,435 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $2.45 million in 2002.

This week’s residential real-estate transactions took place between Jan. 30 and Feb. 3. Of this week’s 10 sales, nine took place on the Sarasota County side of the island; one was recorded on the Manatee County side. Three sales were for more than $1 million.

Orchid Beach Club Residences
Christine Schoeb, of London, sold her Unit B604 condominium at 2050 Benjamin Franklin Drive to Barbara Maibach, trustee, of Farmington, Mich., for $1,375,000. Built in 2005, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 2,936 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1.12 million in 2005.

Sanctuary IV at Longboat Key Club
Robert Katzman and B/K/G Investors LLC sold the Unit A-702 condominium at 535 Sanctuary Drive to Roger and Josephine Weeks, Washington, D.C., for $1.17 million. Built in 1990, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and 2,580 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $2.2 million in 2007.

Grand Bay
Samuel Seager, trustee, Longboat Key, sold the Unit 211 condominium at 3040 Grand Bay to Merrill Bonder, Longboat Key, for $925,000. Built in 1996, it has three bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths and 2,781 square feet of living area.

Marina Bay
Alice Bisca, trustee, sold the Unit 152 condominium at 2410 Harbourside Drive to Dennis DeWitt, trustee, Longboat Key, for $925,000. Built in 1993, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 3,382 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $710,000 in 1995.

Longboat Key Towers
Michael and Vivian Chester sold their Unit N-603 condominium at 603 Longboat Club Road to Michael Pugliese and Brenda Pugliese, trustees, of Oklahoma City, Okla., for $865,000. Built in 1970, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,458 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $987,500 in 2005.

The Beaches of Longboat Key-South
LBK775 LLC sold the Unit 402 condominium at 775 Longboat Club Road to The Hicks Family Partnership for $860,000. Built in 1984, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 1,842 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $298,000 in 2006.

La Playa
Michael and Barbara Wolfe sold their Unit 105 condominium at 4425 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Innovative Investors LLC for $520,000. Built in 1974, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,264 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $560,000 in 2003.

Fairway Bay II
Harold Fleming and Arlene Fleming, trustees, of Great Falls, Va., sold the Unit 2001 condominium at 2010 Harbourside Drive to Patricia Wermuth, Longboat Key, for $480,000. Built in 1985, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 2,239 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $580,000 in 2004.

Bay Harbour Apartments
Sharon Swartz, of Des Moines, Iowa, sold her Unit 107 condominium at 450 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Virginia Andersen, Longboat Key, for $359,000. Built in 1970, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,250 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $341,000 in 2002.
