SCORES: Elling pitches no-hitter

Lakewood Ranch High senior Huntyre Elling pitched a no-hitter, striking out 14 and walking two while leading the Lady Mustangs to a 5-0 victory over Riverview Feb. 24.

Jenn Trotter went 3-for-3 with a double and three runs scored and Dana Hutchins went 2-for-3 with a double to lead the way for Lakewood at the plate. Taylor Newton went 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored and Jacqueline Schoff went 1-for-3 with a double, a RBI and a run scored.
