This week’s 18 residential real-estate transactions took place between Dec. 12 and Dec. 23, 2011. Three home sales were for $1 million or more.

Linda Boring, Sarasota, sold her home at 15 N. Sandy Hook Road to Renee Chase and Edward Aroyan, Sarasota, for $2 million. Built in 1956, it has two bedrooms, four baths, a pool and 4,351 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $100,000 in 1971.

Julia Brown sold her home at 799 Tropical Circle to William Schrader, trustee, Sarasota, for $1,554,800. Built in 1998, it has three bedrooms, two-and-one-half baths, a pool and 3,090 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $375,000 in 1998.

Beverlee and Albert Schmidle, Sarasota, sold their home at 827 Paradise Way to Kevin and Shelley Vier, of Huxley, Iowa, for $1.1 million. Built in 1963, it has four bedrooms, four baths, a pool and 2,946 square feet of living area.

Peter and Catherine Diroff, Sarasota, sold their home at 5508 Contento Drive to William Hough and Charles Rhodes, Sarasota, for $567,000. Built in 1964, it has three bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 2,019 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $649,900 in 2003.

Four Buckeyes LLC sold the Unit 409 condominium at 6208 Midnight Pass Road to Robert and Nancy Cole, Sarasota, for $950,000. Built in 1979, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,534 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $386,000 in 1993.

Somerset Cay
David Black, Sarasota, sold his Unit 44 condominium at 9122 Midnight Pass Road to Copamar LLC for $725,000. Built in 2002, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 2,558 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $865,000 in 2002.

Sara Sands
Robbins Real Property LLC sold the home at 5129 Sandy Cove Ave. to Stephen and Stacy Reck, of North Stonington, Conn., for $530,000. Built in 1965, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 2,823 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $750,000 in 2004.

Whispering Sands
Annemarie Boerner, Sarasota, sold her Unit V-50 condominium at 109 Whispering Sands Drive to Betty Thrapp, trustee, Sarasota, for $475,000. Built in 1968, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,479 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $325,000 in 2002.

Ocean Beach
John and Diane Lucas, of Sussex, England, sold their home at 4509 Banan Place to Stephen and Cynthia Simnett, of Surrey, England, for $425,000. Built in 1962, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,920 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $625,000 in 2005.

Becca Properties LLC sold the home at 369 Avenida Leona to Kevin McIntyre and Jennifer McIntyre, of Arlington, Va., for $400,000. Built in 1963, it has four bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 2,155 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $600,000 in 2007.
Paul Sibole Jr., Sarasota, sold his home at 396 Avenida Madera to Joan Kaiser, Sarasota, for $324,000. Built in 1958, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,165 square feet of living area.

Island House
Monarch Investments and James Bell, trustee, sold the Unit 17 condominium at 6150 Midnight Pass Road to Leslie Pitstick, trustee, for $380,000. Built in 1967, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 939 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $19,300 in 1968.

Siesta Towers
Norma Marcum, of Tulsa, Okla., sold the Unit 11-B condominium at 4822 Ocean Blvd. to Mark and Charla Halborth, of Northville, Mich., for $375,000. Built in 1973, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,435 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $144,500 in 1987.

Gulf and Bay Club Bayside
WM Properties LLC sold the Unit 1346-C condominium at 1346 Siesta Bayside Drive to Lisa Smith and D. William Ruoff, trustees, of Grand Rapids, Mich., for $363,000. Built in 1988, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,280 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $410,000 in 2004.

Midnight Cove II
Michael and Marilyn Monahan and George and Winifred Williams sold their Unit 934 condominium at 1100 Midnight Cove II Place to Theodore and Barbara Bonanno, of the Bronx, N.Y., for $350,000. Built in 1979, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,458 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $190,000 in 1996.

Excelsior Beach to Bay
Carl and Patricia Cooper, Lakewood Ranch, sold their Unit 304 condominium at 6265 Midnight Pass Road to Marlane and Scott Steinwart, John Obermann and Barbara Fluder, of Valparaiso, Ind., for $334,000. Built in 1981, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,387 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $390,000 in 2007.

House of the Sun
David and Donna Grimmer, of Avon Lake, Ohio, sold their Unit 201 condominium at 6518 Midnight Pass Road to Lawrence and Linda Weglicki, of Grosse Ile, Mich., for $325,000. Built in 1975, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,215 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $752,000 in 2005.

Villa Navarra
Shirley Hoffmeister, trustee, of Oregon, Ill., sold the Unit 14 condominium at 141 Avenida Messina to Thomas and Tanya Durbin, of Akron, Ohio, for $232,500. Built in 1966, it has two bedrooms, one bath and 900 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $76,500 in 1991.
