The Braden River Soccer Club will hold registration for its TOPSoccer program from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 14.

TOPSoccer is a free program available to children ages 4 and up with disabilities ranging from Asperger Syndrome, autism, Down Syndrome, ADD/ADHD and other developmental and physical challenges that limit participation in standard recreational or competitive youth sports programs.

The six-week program will run from 10 a.m. to Noon Saturdays, beginning Jan. 28. Players will be placed in age and ability appropriate groups with the goal of the program to make sure each athlete has fun and gets some exercise. All athletes also will be assigned a volunteer Buddy, who will help with each day’s activities.

There is no charge to participate in TOPSoccer and all participants will be provided with a uniform, jersey, soccer ball and water bottle.

Volunteers, typically high school students, also are needed for the program and are encouraged to come out to registration as well. Soccer skill or knowledge isn’t required.
