+ Pettingell tops $8 million in pending volume
Roger Pettingell generated nine transactions and more than $8 million in pending volume in December, according to a news release from Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate. Pettingell was the top Coldwell agent in Florida in 2010 and has been ranked twice as the top agent in Sarasota County.

“It seemed as though a lot of hard work came together all at one time,” Pettingell said in a statement. “Fortunately, I have a strong support system and the month ran smoothly. Our market has been terrific, and I am finding January to be just as active.”

+ Mitchell, Rodgers join Coldwell Banker LBK
Longboat Key residents Elliott Mitchell and Tom Rodgers have joined Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate’s Longboat Key office.

Mitchell is a Harbour Oaks resident who was the developer and creator of Scentstrip Brand fragrance samplers.

Rodgers is a resident of the Bayou in Bay Isles and graduate of Brown University. He previously worked for Pfizer Inc., where he received awards for his sales performance.

+ SAR opens School of Real Estate
The Sarasota Association of Realtors (SAR) recently announced the opening of the SAR School of Real Estate, which will offer sales-associate and broker-associate licensing courses along post-license education for sales associates and brokers. The first class offered is the Sales Associate Pre-License Course, which will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, at SAR headquarters, 3590 S. Tuttle Ave., Sarasota.
