Here is an inside look at this week’s Athlete of the Week.
What does it mean to you to have played such an instrumental role in your team’s district championship?
It was rewarding to be able to come back and do that, but the entire team played well. It wasn’t just one person.
How long have you been playing soccer?
I’ve been playing since I was 4 years old. My mom always put us in all of the sports, but I liked soccer the best, so I just stuck with it.
What do you enjoy the most about soccer?
I love being on a team with really fun girls who all get along.
Do you know what you want to be when you grow up?
I’m leaning toward a physical therapist, because I’ve been injured so many times.
Do you have any siblings?
I have a sister, Aubrey, who is on the team, and a brother, Reece, who is in the eighth grade.
What is it like playing with your sister?
It’s great. I’ve always played with her. We also play for the Brandon Flames together.
What’s your favorite food?
Shrimp
If you could play another sport for a day, what would it be?
Volleyball. I used to play it in middle school, and it was a fun atmosphere.

My mom. She’s always driven us and been there. She’s patient with all of the kids.
Do you have a favorite TV show?
“Criminal Minds.” It’s just good.
Do you have a favorite type of music?
Country. I’ve just grown up listening to it.
