June 29
Sucker punch
11:30 a.m. — 100 block of South Orange Avenue.
Robbery. A man reported that two days earlier, he was walking through an alley near Orange Avenue and was punched in the face by two men, who then reached into his pocket and stole $20 in cash.

June 30
Gotta bounce
1:15 a.m. — Intersection of Main Street and Lemon Avenue.
Trespassing. Police trespassed a man from a club after the bouncer threw him out.

The talkies
4 a.m. — 1900 block of Main Street. Disorderly Conduct. A security guard told police a group of kids was causing a disturbance in the movie theater. Police saw the juveniles leave the theater upon their arrival and confirmed they had left the area for good.

July 1
Dent damage
3:30 a.m. — 2000 block of Main Street.
Criminal Mischief. A woman told police she observed a man throwing rocks at cars in a parking lot. Another woman, who owns a silver Nissan Altima, showed police 10 dents to the right side of her vehicle. Other cars were damaged as well.

Bike theft
1:10 p.m. — 1400 block of Tenth Street. Theft. A man told police someone stole his bicycle after he placed it against a fence near The Salvation Army.

Road rage
5:10 p.m. — 3500 block of South Tamiami Trail. Criminal Mischief. A man driving a black BMW told police a man became upset after he braked in traffic and drove alongside him, throwing an object at the side of his car. The man got the tag number of the car, and police made attempts to locate the car’s owner.

July 2
Slasher suspect
8:16 a.m. — 1100 block of Highland Street.
Criminal Mischief. A woman told police she parked her car in her front yard and returned to find her left front and rear tires flat. She told police it’s the second time it’s happened in two weeks, and she suspects her ex-husband is the culprit because he’s upset she is dating someone.

Custody battle
9:40 p.m. — 2000 block of Eighth Street. Assault. A woman reported that her ex-fiancé was threatening her in text messages after she had discovered he was subjecting their son to unsanitary living conditions and had threatened to try and have his visitation rights removed.

Business breaker
1:37 p.m. — 1500 block of Main Street. Disorderly Conduct. A restaurant employee reported a woman was harassing customers in front of the restaurant.

Independence pay
1:51 p.m. — 1300 block of South Tamiami Trail. Shoplifting. A grocery-store manager observed a woman walk out of the store without paying for $169 in fireworks. A surveillance tape revealed the license plate number, and police made plans to track the woman down at her house.

Short fuse
3:40 p.m. — 1800 block of Fifth Street. Suspicious Circumstance. A woman reported that her ex-boyfriend yanked the fuses out of her electrical box and is threatening to steal her clothes and her children’s clothes.

Jeep jip
7:27 p.m. — 300 block of Golden Gate Point. Vehicle Burglary. A Golden Gate Point resident told police someone entered his jeep and stole his wallet from the center console. The wallet contained some credit cards and a veteran’s identification card.
