Off-duty cop busts beach exhibitionist

Sarasota County Sheriff deputies today arrested 41-year-old man for exposing himself to four young girls on Siesta Key Beach, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office.

An off duty law enforcement officer from Indiana observed Joshua Anthony McClure exposing himself and inappropriately touching himself in an area where four children between the ages of 5 and 16 could see the act. The witness approached McClure, who does not have a permanent address on file, and notified local authorities that the suspect had fled the beach on a bicycle.

Deputies shortly found McClure, who was then identified by witnesses. He is being held on $40,000 bond in Sarasota County Jail for four Felony charges for Lewd and Lascivious Exhibition.
