Neal Communities escalates ranking on national top 100 list

Neal Communities has risen to #67, up from last year’s #94, on BUILDER magazine's top home builder rankings, based on number of closings in the United States in 2011. With 384 closings, the new ranking represents a 41% increase from 2010, which was the first year Neal Communities made the top 100 list.

“To make such a giant leap on this list is a remarkable accomplishment for my team,” said Pat Neal, president of Neal Communities. “We have had three years of tremendous growth, which has allowed us to move forward quickly, create new communities and hire more people.”

According to Hanley Wood, the publisher of BUILDER, the top 100 list is compiled from data collected by the magazine through direct surveys of the builders. BUILDER has been compiling the list since 1984. John Caulfield, a senior editor and the author of the newest article appearing in the May 2012 edition, stated, “Builders ranked on the top 100 list recorded their highest market-share percentage in a decade.”Since the creation of Neal Communities in 1970, the Lakewood Ranch-based builder has built over 8,600 homes, 11,000 lots and several commercial ventures, primarily in Manatee and Sarasota Counties. Over the past 40 years, Pat Neal has built cooperative partnerships that have helped the region prosper.
