Bird Key home sells for $2.96 million

The following residential real-estate transactions took place between May 21 and May 25. A home on Bird Key tops all transactions in this week’s real estate. James and Arloa Torok, Lakewood Ranch, sold their home at 574 S. Spoonbill Drive to George and Cheryl Pintea, Sarasota, for $2.96 million. Built in 1990, it has five bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths, a pool and 5,349 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $3,995,000 in 2006.

Villa Di Lancia
Kevin and Patricia Millard sold their Units 244 and 245 condominiums at 2185 Gulf of Mexico Drive to U.S. Bank, trustee, for $2.05 million. Built in 1996, it has five bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths and 4,918 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $2,702,500 in 2007.

Water Club I at Longboat Key
Bruce Fischer and Nancy Vanore, of Rosemont, Pa., sold their Unit 606 condominium at 1241 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Robert and Barbara Libby, Longboat Key, for $1,295,000. Built in 1996, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 2,650 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1,445,000 in 2008.

Longboat Key Yacht and Tennis Club
Constance Olson, personal representative, sold the Unit 304 condominium at 3115 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Robert and Susan Mikulay, of Whitefish Bay, Wis., for $600,000. Built in 1974, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,433 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $270,000 in 1994.

Islander Club of Longboat
David Dixon, Sarasota, sold his Unit 104-N condominium at 2301 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Robert and Kathryn Gibby, of Bloomfield, Conn., for $470,000. Built in 1970, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,235 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $475,000 in 2007.

Seaplace
Bernard Warren sold his Unit M1-509H condominium at 2045 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Ewen Dyce and Ann Dyce, of Edinburgh, United Kingdom, for $465,000. Built in 1974, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,265 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $200,000 in 1988.

Fairway Bay
Janet and Leonard Ross, of Cummaquid, Mass., sold their Unit 1904 condominium at 2008 Harbourside Drive to Minel Braun and Marina Gliner, trustees, of Akron, Ohio, for $447,000. Built in 1985, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 2,097 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $264,000 in 1994.

Winding Oaks
Morton and Gerda Smith, Atlanta, sold their Unit 34 condominium at 3467 Winding Oaks Drive to Raymond and Antoinette Maloney, of Water Mill, N.Y., for $445,000. Built in 1988, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 2,073 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $335,000 in 1998.

Beachplace
Samuel and Ahida Cascio sold their Unit 502 condominium at 1115 Gulf of Mexico Drive to David and Janice Roach, of Richland, Wash., for $439,000. Built in 1979, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,392 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $65,000 in 1994.

Whitney Beach
Sylvia Shapiro, trustee, sold the Unit 301 condominium at 6701 Gulf of Mexico Drive to David and Janice Franklin, Tampa, for $425,000. Built in 1971, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,305 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $200,000 in 1983.

Terry Segal, of Gloucester, Mass., sold his Unit 151 condominium at 6750 Gulf of Mexico Drive to David and Patricia Purnhagen, of Bayport, N.Y., for $240,000. Built in 1969, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,449 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $63,800 in 1978.

Longboat Harbour Towers
Julie Deroin, Chicago, sold her Unit 202 condominium at 4401 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Michael and Denise Tremper, of Rhinebeck, N.Y., for $365,000. Built in 1972, it has two bedrooms, one bath and 961 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $360,000 in 2001.

Revised Longbeach
Charles and Nancy Drawdy, Riverview, sold their home at 640 Fox St. to Bonnie Dallinger, of Wapiti, Wyo., for $240,000. Built in 1975, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,113 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $138,000 in 1998.

Beach Harbor Club
Richard Goddard, trustee, Sarasota, sold the Unit B-207 condominium at 3804 Gulf of Mexico Drive to John and Margaret Oberst, of Louisville, Ky., for $211,400. Built in 1970, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,133 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $82,800 in 1993.

Bird Key
Elizabeth Rowntree, trustee, of Toronto, Canada, sold the home at 302 Bird Key Drive to Kathleen Bavley, Sarasota, for $1.8 million. Built in 1970, it has three bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, a pool and 3,151 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1.45 million in 2011.

Stephen and Eilene Hutton, Palm Beach Gardens, sold their home at 565 S. Spoonbill Drive to Bruce and Mary Ling, of Sharon, Conn., for $930,000. Built in 1962, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, a pool and 3,163 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $475,000 in 2001.

Kenneth and Julie Hocker sold their home at 404 E. Royal Flamingo Drive to Robert Adams and Kathleen Adams, trustees, Sarasota, for $680,000. Built in 1962, it has four bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 2,988 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $712,500 in 2010.

Lido Shores
Daniel and Barbara McDermott, Sarasota, sold their Unit 404 condominium at 350 S. Polk Drive to Jean Pagani, New York, for $299,000. Built in 1977, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,036 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $172,000 in 1999.
