Three-bedroom Casey Key home sells for $1.7 million

The following residential real-estate transactions took place between May 28 and June 1. A home on Casey Key tops all transactions in this week’s real estate. George Scantland III and Jancie Scantland, trustees, Nokomis, sold the home at 1608 Casey Key Road to Paul and Veronica Gross, Terra Ceia, for $1.7 million. Built in 1960, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 2,737 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $322,500 in 1990.

SARASOTA
Aqualane Estates
SunTrust Bank sold the home at 1406 Ridgewood Lane to Joseph Abraham and Cheryl Abraham, trustees, of Peoria, Ill., for $1,075,000. Built in 2006, it has three bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths, a pool and 4,105 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1.1 million in 2004.

Sapphire Shores
Helen Polder, trustee, Bradenton, sold the home at 305 S. Shore Drive to Gordon Little, of Watertown, S.D., for $980,000. Built in 1963, it has five bedrooms, four baths and 3,600 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $80,000 in 1972.

Sarasota Bay Club
Sarasota Bay Club LLC sold the Unit 328 condominium at 1299 Tamiami Trail to Curtis and Ilse Hecht, Sarasota, for $875,000. Built in 2003, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and 2,206 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1,007,000 in 2003.

Sarasota Bay Club LLC sold the Unit 721 condominium at 1299 Tamiami Trail to Riva Kramer and Laura Lowell, Sarasota, for $725,000. Built in 2003, it has two bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and 2,052 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $803,500 in 2004.

Westbrook
George Appel and Carl March, trustees, Sarasota, sold the home at 1432 Westbrook Drive to John and Jenifer Folvig, Sarasota, for $875,000. Built in 1974, it has five bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, a pool and 4,718 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $780,000 in 2009.

Landings
Andrea McCurry, trustee, Sarasota, sold the home at 1724 Landings Blvd. to Curtis and Mary Smith, Sarasota, for $456,000. Built in 1984, it has four bedrooms, four baths, a pool and 3,068 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $267,500 in 1998.

McIntyre, Wilson-Potter’s
Barbara May, Sarasota, sold her home at 1642 Arlington St. to Gail Fagan, Sarasota, for $373,700. Built in 1990, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,512 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $278,000 in 2010.

Deborah Weiner and Vickie Spangler, of Glenside, Pa., sold their Unit 10 condominium at 522 Golden Gate Point to Diane Brandlein, trustee, of Rockford, Ill., for $282,000. Built in 1948, it has one bedroom, one bath and 529 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $215,000 in 2003.

Fifth Third Mortgage Co. sold the home at 2960 Bougainvillea St. to James Freeman and Michele Pavillard, of Big Flats, N.Y., for $215,000. Built in 1971, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,947 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $201,000 in 2001.

Robert and Julia White, of Chatham, N.H., sold their home at 2149 Calusa Lakes Blvd. to Robert and Susan Kelley, Nokomis, for $329,000. Built in 2000, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,920 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $522,000 in 2005.

Richard and Kathleen Andrews, Sarasota, sold their home at 308 Monte Drive to Edward and Kathleen Cain, of Johnstown, Ohio, for $210,000. Built in 1974, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 2,213 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $82,000 in 1978.
