Home Resource, the contemporary furniture showroom, sent a team of employees to Germany last week for product training and immersion into the German culture. Home Resource Co-owner Kathy Bush, General Manager Eric Cross and Retail Manager Rich Gaydosh trained at three different furniture manufacturing companies: Draenert, COR and Interlübke.

“It’s an outstanding opportunity for our team to meet the owners of these companies, their staff, and to receive extensive training including factory visits,” said Michael Bush, Co-owner of Home Resource. “They also get to see the construction of product, absorb the cultural aspects and most importantly, further our relationship with these outstanding brands.”

Draenert was recognized as one of the top 20 trendsetters in Germany for 2011 and has designed and produced top-quality designer furniture for more than 40 years.

COR and Interlübke have been recognized year after year as one of the top 20 luxury brands in Germany across all industries, including automobiles, fashion, kitchens and more. Leo Lubke, the third generation owner of COR/Interlubke is very familiar with the Sarasota market as he vacations on Siesta Key most summers, but “the decision to partner with Home Resource was more about the showroom and the owners than its location in beautiful Sarasota,“ said Felix Piayda, the North American Director for COR/Interlübke. “While we love coming to visit Sarasota, we're very careful about how we choose our partners because we like to establish long-term, trusting and mutually-beneficial relationships.”

Home Resource has had a very successful launch of COR in Southwest Florida in terms of sales results, and the interest in the Draenert product line has been overwhelming.

"We are a minor market outperforming major markets and we believe it is because we take the time, energy, effort and funding to invest in our people with this immersion training overseas. The end result is enhancing the buying experience for our clients, and it’s working,” Michael Bush said. Home Resource is the exclusive representative of COR in Florida, and one of two representing Interlübke and Draenert in Florida.
