Manatee County YMCA holds annual Pinewood Derby

The Manatee County YMCA held its annual Pinewood Derby car race during the Y Guides weekend campout Feb. 18.

More than 60 cars competed in the race with all children receiving a placement pennant and a trophy medallion for their participation.

Top race placements include:

Seven-year-old Kelly Ganner- first place

Eight-year-old Emma Balak-second place

Six-year-old Julia Balak- third place

Ten-year-old Ryan Cody- first place modified division

Shawnee Tribe- first place tribe competition

Seven-year-old Kyle Benninghove- fourth place

Seven-year-old Luke Bisio- fifth place

Nine-year-old Ella Bisio- sixth place

Eight-year-old Kelsey Grindel- seventh place

Nine-year-old Andre Panet-Raymond- eighth place
