Oaks II home sells for $1.625M

The following residential real estate transactions took place between Feb. 13 and Feb. 17.

A home in the Oaks II tops all transactions in this week’s real estate. James and Karen Landis, Osprey, sold their home at 445 Walls Way to Gabriel and Valerie Schmergel, Sarasota, for $1.625 million. Built in 1990, it has four bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths, a pool and 6,533 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1.55 million in 2005.

Cherokee Park
Elizabeth and Steven Wexler, Sarasota, sold their home at 1753 N. Drive to Brian O’Brien, trustees, Sarasota, for $850,000. Built in 1980, it has four bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths and 2,658 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $785,000 in 2008.

Oyster Bay East
Development of SRQ LLC sold the home at 1906 Hillsdale Place to Gwendolyn Kruse, Sarasota, for $490,000. Built in 1969, it has three bedrooms, two-and-one-half baths and 2,182 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $275,000 in 2011.

Bay Plaza
E. Randall Ralston, trustee, and Margaret Ireland, of Charlottesville, Va., sold the Unit 1001 condominium at 1255 N. Gulfstream Ave. to Janice and Stanley Weintraub, Sarasota, for $480,000. Built in 1982, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,901 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $235,000 in 1993.

Bungalow Hill
Constance Allegra, Sarasota, sold her home at 950 Pomelo Ave. to Regina Stine, trustee, of Birmingham, Mich., for $411,400. Built in 1985, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,340 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $382,500 in 2003.

Poinsettia Park
Brendan and Christy Walker, Sarasota, sold their home at 1837 Orchid St. to Becky Pomfret, Sarasota, for $362,000. Built in 1954, it has four bedrooms, three baths and 2,274 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $735,000 in 2006.

City of Sarasota
Constance Gregory, of Crozet, Va., sold the home at 1638 Oak St. to Kimberly Marlow, Sarasota, for $350,000. Built in 1925, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,169 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $285,000 in 2009.

Phillippi Landings
Derrick and Pauline Gill, of Newfoundland, Canada, sold their Unit 606 condominium at 5591 Cannes Circle to Atriums of Venice Inc. for $330,000. Built in 2006, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 2,024 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $701,100 in 2006.

McIntyre-Wilson-Potters
The A&R Lichtenstein LLC sold the home at 1698 Arlington St. to JEDJTDT.I LLC for $315,000. Built in 1970, it has four bedrooms, three baths and 1,536 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $322,700 in 2010.

Condominium on the Bay
Carl and Beverly Meyer, Sarasota, sold their Unit 803 condominium at 888 Blvd. of the Arts to Maria Cino, of Alexandria, Va., for $310,000. Built in 1982, it has two bedrooms, three baths and 1,555 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $325,000 in 2001.

WF Pier 550 LLC sold the Unit 8 condominium at 522 Golden Gate Point to Justin Bloom, Palmetto, for $300,000. Built in 1948, it has one bedroom, one bath and 563 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $525,000 in 2007.

South Gate
Jean Renoux and Vicki Chelf, Sarasota, sold their home at 2715 Valencia Drive to Brian O’Connell, Sarasota, for $236,300. Built in 1957, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 2,252 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $85,000 in 1993.

Broadway Promenade
Jean-Michel and Chantal Duquenne, of Labbeville, France, sold their Unit 1327 condominium at 1064 N. Tamiami Trail to Rebecca Walsh and Marian Walsh, Sarasota, for $200,000. Built in 2007, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,084 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $202,500 in 2009.

Shipcroft LLC sold the home at 1304 Gilbert Ave. to Aaron and Lisa Garber, of Winesburg, Ohio, for $200,000. Built in 1924, it has two bedrooms, one bath and 651 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $200,000 in 2006.

Stanley and Janice Weintraub, Sarasota, sold their home at 4760 Sweetmeadow Circle to Markus and Anna Muhlhauser, of Tolland, Conn., for $800,000. Built in 1998, it has four bedrooms, four baths, a pool and 3,815 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $628,000 in 2004.
The Bank of New York Melon, trustee, sold the home at 4790 Hanging Moss Lane to Balazs Szabo, Sarasota, for $301,000. Built in 1996, it has four bedrooms, three baths and 2,770 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $59,500 in 1996.

Donald and Helen Bixler, Sarasota, sold their home at 8889 Bloomfield Blvd. to David and Joeanne Connolly, Sarasota, for $565,000. Built in 2000, it has four bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 3,257 square feet of living area.

Diane and Larry Geimer, Sarasota, sold their home at 8520 Woodbriar Drive to Patrick and Joan Jones, of Getzville, N.Y., for $475,000. Built in 1990, it has three bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 2,634 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $290,000 in 1995.

Kevin Raftery and Marylynne Ashton, of Flemington, N.J., sold their home at 5831 Girona Place to Paul and Phyllis Elson, of Pleasantville, N.Y., for $430,000. Built in 2003, it has four bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 2,521 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $534,900 in 2005.

Forrest Harms, trustee, of Oregon, Wis., sold the home at 1324 Thornapple Drive to Robert and Lisa Girard, Osprey, for $330,000. Built in 2003, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 2,249 square feet of living area.

Lori Arpin, of Birmingham, Mich., sold her home at 5681 Cabrera Court to Kae Englander, Sarasota, for $205,000. Built in 2006, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 1,845 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $111,500 in 2007.

Bishopscourt at the Oaks Preserve
Rosa Everard, trustee, of Savannah, Ga., sold the home at 159 Bishops Court Road to Robert and Elaine Kelly, Osprey, for $200,000. Built in 1990, it has two bedrooms, three baths and 2,592 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $265,000 in 1990.

CASEY KEY
Michael and Deborah Bidlack, Venice, sold their home at 705 S. Casey Key Road to John Nelan, of Mayville, N.Y., for $700,000. Built in 1986, it has four bedrooms, two baths and 1,628 square feet of living area.
