SCORES: Suncoast Storm win March into Madness

The Suncoast Storm 98 travel softball team won the March into Madness Tournament March 3-4 in Venice.

The Storm finished 6-0 in the 10-team field, outscoring their opponents 38-8, to win the 14U division title.

Pitchers Logan Newton and Sylvia Welsh led the team defensively while Bethaney Keen, Newton, Caitlin Brown, Kylie Toler and Hannah Morris led the way for the Storm at the plate.

The team is now 23-2, having won three of their last four tournaments. The Storm will return to action in the Perfect Storm tournament March 10-11 at Lakewood Ranch Park.
