Siesta Manor home tops week's sales at $640,000

The following residential real-estate transactions took place between Feb. 20 and Feb. 24.

A home in Siesta Manor tops all transactions in this week’s real estate. John Burden, Sarasota, sold his home at 391 Avenida Madera to Kenneth Ellingson Jr. and Kathleen Ellingson, trustees, of Downers Grove, Ill., for $640,000. Built in 1957, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 2,732 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $849,000 in 2006.

Sarasota Surf and Racquet Club
John and Jean Albinger, of Oswego, Ill., sold their Unit 302 condominium at 5920 Midnight Pass Road to Jian Dong and Qi Jin, of Greenwood, Ind., for $532,000. Built in 1971, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,352 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $349,000 in 1999.

Excelsior Beach to Bay
Alan and Deanna Killeen sold their Unit 105 condominium at 6268 Midnight Pass Road to Michael and Deborah Caseley, of Gladstone, N.J., for $340,000. Built in 1980, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,282 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $191,200 in 1993.

Beachaven Apartments
Virginia Castleman, of Huntington, W.Va., sold her Unit 45 condominium at 5858 Midnight Pass Road to Annie and Lawrence Hill, of Vancouver, Canada, for $328,000. Built in 1966, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 813 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $101,600 in 1985.

Casa Blanca
Kevin Suffern, of Hannibal, Mo., sold his Unit 9 condominium at 6154 Midnight Pass Road to Bruce and Christina Miller, Miami, for $265,000. Built in 1966, it has two bedrooms, one bath and 941 square feet of living area.

Gulf and Bay Club
Kardan Investments LLC sold the Unit 603 condominium at 5770 Midnight Pass Road to Kardan Real Estate Investments LLC, of Dayton, Ohio, for $220,000. Built in 1980, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,484 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $210,000 in 1980.
