1 — The point differential in the 2012 Sarasota Slam softball championship March 17. Palm Harbor University knocked off Bellaire (Houston) 201 to capture the crown.

3 — The number of Cardinal Mooney football players who signed scholarships March 19. Ben Walsh will play for Johns Hopkins University; Jack Leibold with St. Ambrose (Iowa); and Mark Nordhausen will play for Berkshire Prep (Massachusetts).

10-0 — The record of The Out-of-Door Academy varsity baseball team. The Thunder notched an 8-1 win over Tennessee Greenbriar and a 10-0 thrashing of St. Stephen’s last week. It is ODA’s best start in school history.

4 — The number of rowers in Sarasota Crew’s Girls Varsity Squad, who won a gold medal at the Mayor’s Cup March 17, in Tampa. Mckayla Taafe, Gabby Halula, Kate Flanders and Carolina Elizalde were impressive in their race.
