Water main break interrupts service for 700 residents

A water main break has interrupted service for about 700 residential units in the area of Seaside Drive off Midnight Pass Road on Siesta Key.

A precautionary boil water advisory has been issued for affected residents. While the advisory is in effect, affected residents are asked to boil tap water intended for drinking, food preparation and hygiene. Heat all water to a roiling boil for at least one minute. Bottle water can be used as a alternative.
