Sounds like a plan
11:20 p.m. — 500 block of Broadway. Disturbance. A resident agreed to get the eight or nine people at his home to be quiet or to go home after police received a complaint about a loud party in his apartment.

April 19
Setting boundaries
11:25 a.m. — Off the Key. Boat. Police found a boat that appeared vacant after receiving a report of a sailing vessel run aground. The incident was not in town boundaries, and an officer from another agency was already handling it.

April 20
Value system
9:54 a.m. — 2000 block of GMD. Lost/Missing Property. A woman reported her bicycle as missing. She said it was not expensive but held sentimental value.

Banned from the sand
12:20 p.m. — 100 block of N. Shore Road. Dog on the Beach. A man became “somewhat incensed” about having to remove his dog from the beach after police told him about town ordinances.

Call of the wild
8:24 p.m. — 5100 block of GMD. Disturbance. A woman told police she had heard the same intermittent alarm for several nights in a row and it sounded loud, frightening and “terrorist attack-like.” Police realized that she was hearing the call of the Chuck-will’s-widow bird and suggested she close her windows.

Writing’s on the wall
8:42 p.m. — 4000 block of GMD. Vandalism. Police found graffiti on the bathroom wall of a recreation center that contained writing in permanent marker about wanting to get back with a girlfriend.

April 21
Unwanted visitor
2:43 a.m. — 200 block of Sands Point Road. Trespassing. Hotel-goers complained after a woman began knocking on doors in an attempt to find a guest. Police tried to convince the woman, who appeared intoxicated, to take a cab or call a friend for a ride home, but placed her under arrest after she continued to insist on finding the guest. Although she had told police that she had no money for a taxi, police found $59.62 in her purse along with two small bottles of Pinot Grigio.

3:39 p.m. — Linley Street and Poinsettia Avenue. Property Found. A woman turned in a MetroPCS cell phone that she found on a boat ramp.

April 24
Gone adrift?
11:02 a.m. — 6900 block of Bayside Drive. Lost/Missing Property. A man told police that he discovered his kayak was missing two days earlier. Police were unable to determine whether the kayak was stolen or had drifted away.

April 21
Not one to take it lightly
8:37 a.m. — 5100 block of GMD. Public Service. A woman reported seeing 15 evenly spaced, slow-moving balls of orange light from her condominium unit. She told police that she was unable to contact air-traffic controllers at the local airport but said that she would report the incident to the National UFO Reporting Center.
