Manatee County school children got a first-hand look into the business world May 4, as more than 100 business professionals volunteered their time in local classrooms.
As part of the Manatee County Chamber of Commerce’s Project Teach Everyone About Career Horizons, or T.E.A.C.H. program, volunteers spoke to more than 3,000 fourth-grade students in 32 public, private and charter schools about their occupations, education and the importance of first impressions. Children also took time to design their own business cards based on their career aspirations.
