Lincoln
Four Popcorns
Genre: Drama
Cast: Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field, David Strathairn, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, James Spader, Hal Holbrook, Tommy Lee Jones
Director: Stephen Spielberg
Rating: PG-13
Comment: As close as anyone can come to achieving cinematic perfection! Outstanding casting, screenplay, acting and of course direction. Lewis gave a stunning portrayal of Lincoln — his Oscar is "in the can". This, all with a very complex and potentially academic subject of how Lincoln and the House of Representatives battled over the 13th Amendment while the Civil War raged. Spielberg instills the audience with gut-wrenching empathy for the presidents' feelings through the pressure-packed process. Take your young people along for a great American history lesson. Thank you Mr. Spielberg!
The Sessions
Three Popcorns
Genre: Drama
Cast: John Hawkes, Helen Hunt, Moon Bloodgood, Annika Marks, Rhea Perlman, Adam Arkin, William Macy

Comment: A masterful performance by Hunt in an extremely difficult role and sensitive subject. An extraordinary real-life story of a paralyzed man dealing with his sexual drives and the therapist who guides him through the difficult physical and emotional process. You will walk out feeling that you have NO real problems!
