TWIS Talks RIAF: Documentary Film Explores Art, Life of Exiled Nobel Prize-Winning Poet

The name Joseph Brodsky may not immediately ring a bell for many people who are not fans of modern Russian poetry and prose, but Jan Andrews’ documentary film, Joseph Brodsky: In the Prison of Latitudes, aims to change that.

The fourth annual Ringling International Arts Festival includes a film category for the first time this year, making the festival more accessible than ever with tickets to film screenings selling for just $10. In the Prison of Latitudes is one of three films featured at this year’s festival and unlike the other two (Carmen and Geoffrey and Park Avenue Armory Event) which focus on dance, In the Prison of Latitudes represents the literary arts in the form of an homage to the iconic writer.
