Whitaker's Landing home sells for $1.4 million

The following residential real-estate transactions took place between Aug. 27 and Aug. 31.

A home in Whitaker’s Landing tops all transactions in this week’s real estate. James Little, trustee, of Tallevast, sold the home at 945 Whitaker’s Lane to David and Doris Weir, of Sarasota, for $1.4 million. Built in 1994, it has four bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, a pool and 4,486 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1.65 million in 2004.

SARASOTA
Bay Plaza
Geraldine Aaron, of Manahawkin, N.J., sold the Unit 1402 condominium at 1255 N. Gulfstream Ave. to Richard Bergman and Rebecca Schwatz, of Sarasota, for $575,000. Built in 1982, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 2,042 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $385,000 in 1999.

Golden Gate Point
Burmah Smith FLP Ltd. sold the home at 565 Golden Gate Point to GG Pointe LLC for $430,000. Built in 1953, it has two bedrooms, four baths and 2,678 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $270,400 in 1997.

Kentwood Estates
Bank of America sold the home at 1550 Eastbrook Drive to Thomas and Jennifer FitzGerald, of Geneva, N.Y., for $380,000. Built in 1974, it has three bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 2,596 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $539,000 in 2011.

Renaissance
Richard Plotkin, of Newport, R.I., sold his Unit 1109 condominium at 750 N. Tamiami Trail to Carol Zatman, trustee, of Osprey, for $380,000. Built in 2001, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,360 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $481,000 in 2001.

Graham Heights
Lynda Finder, of Sarasota, sold her home at 1110 Osprey Ave. to Abner and Marie Louissaint, of Hempstead, N.Y., for $371,000. Built in 1950, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 1,821 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $400,000 in 2003.

Pine Shores Estates
Robert Leitzen, of Sarasota, sold his home at 6436 Beechwood Ave. to Leo and Deborah Bratland, of Danville, Ill., for $256,000. Built in 1956, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,800 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $462,500 in 2005.

Central Park
Kerry Rhodes, of Sarasota, sold her home at 1680 Fifth St. to William Hoag and Karen Hoovler, of Parrish, for $247,500. Built in 1960, it has five bedrooms, three baths and 2,027 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $185,000 in 2000.

Shadow Lakes
Jeff and Lisa Carper, of Sarasota, sold their home at 6308 Lilac Place to Lucia Howell, trustee, of Sarasota, for $215,000. Built in 1969, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,548 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $192,500 in 2008.

Margaret O’Connell, of Chicago, sold her Unit 5 condominium at 445 S. Palm Ave. to David Rowe, of Hendersonville, N.C., for $214,500. Built in 1979, it has two bedrooms, one bath and 809 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $160,000 in April.

John and Angela Bisetti, of Nokomis, sold their home at 408 Islamorada Drive to Karen Sweat, of Chicago, for $232,000. Built in 2006, it has three bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 2,209 square feet of living area.

Greg and Leslie Plifka sold their Unit 1724 condominium at 9570 High Gate Drive to Michael and Kathy Sobitz, of Hartville, Ohio, for $220,000. Built in 1996, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,414 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $239,000 in 2003.

B. Michael Properties LLC sold the home at 400 Casey Key Road to Casey Key Bay House LLC for $925,000. Built in 1997, it has four bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, a pool and 2,886 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $925,000 in 2011.
