Gullett students help plant garden at White House

Five fifth-grade students from Gullett Elementary School, in the East County, today will meet First Lady Michelle Obama and help her with a garden planting event at the White House.

The students, Noe Antuna, Morgan DeGlopper, Robby Goecker, Ishvina Singh and Emilio Vega, were chosen because of Gullett's commitment to offering students healthier foods and for emphasizing physical activity.

The White House has announced plans the Kitchen Garden Planting will be live-streamed at 1:15 p.m. today, at WhiteHouse.gov/Live, or below:
