+ Cardinal Mooney sweeps ODA
The Cardinal Mooney boys and girls lacrosse teams both posted wins over The Out-of-Door Academy March 26.
Blair Brannan, Lindsay Savigne, Haley McCurdy and Bridget Walsh each scored two goals to lead the Lady Cougars to a 10-5 victory.
Kimmy Comito had three goals to pace the Lady Thunder.
On the boys side, the Cougars cruised to an 18-1 victory. Adam Scalisi had four goals and three assists, and Mike Kahl had three goals and four assists to lead the way for Cardinal Mooney.
Ben Martin scored the lone goal for the Thunder.

+ Lady Rams race to county title
The Riverview High girls track team scored 229 points to win the Sarasota County Championship March 26, at The Out-of-Door Academy.
Sarasota finished thirdfollowed by ODA (fifth), Cardinal Mooney (sixth), Booker (seventh) and Sarasota Christian (eighth).
On the boys side, the Rams finished second behind North Port. Sarasota finished third, followed by Booker (fifth), Cardinal Mooney (sixth), ODA (seventh) and Sarasota Christian (eighth).

The Sarasota Military Academy held its end-of-the-season awards banquet this past week.
• Most Improved, feshman Anthony Salerno (106 pounds)
• Captain’s Award, senior Austin Fralin (132)
• Most Takedowns, senior Coy Carter (145)
• Most Pins (Tough Guy Award,) sophomore Billy Sadlo (152)
• Best Wrestler, sophomore Connor Steinfeld (126)
The Eagles progressed throughout their inaugural season and will be eligible to compete in the postseason this fall.
