Country Club East gets new neighborhood

Lakewood Ranch has added a new neighborhood in Country Club East.

The neighborhood, Windy Hill, features 37 home sites, many overlooking the 10th hole of the Royal Lakes Golf Course.

Other home sites sit on a preserve overlooking a protected wetland.

All homes sites are 62 feet.

Homes will range from 2,000 to 3,800 square feet, with home and home-site packages priced beginning in the $400,000s.

Lots are available immediately.

“This is a great addition to Country Club East, because we have not had golf course home sites for almost two years,” said Jimmy Stewart, vice president of sales for Lakewood Ranch Communities. “The ongoing demand for new product in Country Club East is part of the continuing momentum that Lakewood Ranch has realized over the past few years.”

The new community comes as Lakewood Ranch has seen an increase in home sales.

As of July 31, 381 new homes had been sold in Lakewood Ranch — an 8.5% increase compared to the same period in 2012.

In Lakewood Ranch, there are currently 328 homes under construction, Stewart said.
