SMR announces additions to Winterfest lineup

Organizers of the upcoming Winterfest concert series have announced seven new acts to be featured at the event.

Lakewood Ranch developer Schroeder-Manatee Ranch have added to the performer lineup: Ty Herndon, The Alabama Blues Brothers, Hotel California, The Backtrack Blues Band, Highway to Hell, Joseph Hall and the Mudbugs Cajun and Zydeco Band.

"We think the addition of these performers to the schedule will expand the range of musical tastes, which is our intention," said Jim Chiaffredo, spokesperson for Winterfest, which will run March 29 and March 30, at Premier Sports Campus at Lakewood Ranch. 

The festival's website now is live, so fans can familiarize themselves with acts.

Talents already booked for the event include Alabama founder Jeff Cook, Hall-of-Famer Marty Balin and Rick Derringer.
