Longboat Key Estates home sells for $3 million

The following residential real-estate transactions took place between Aug. 12 and Aug. 16.

A home in Longboat Key Estates tops all transactions in this week’s real estate. Burton and Suzanne Borgelt, of Sarasota, sold their home at 640 Rountree Drive to William and Carol McNight, of Virginia Beach, Va., for $3.3 million. Built in 2003, it has four bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths, a pool and 4,480 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $3.5 million in 2003.

Country Club Shores
Thomas Grusecki, of Park Ridge, Ill., sold his home at 561 Hornblower Lane to James and Tracy Orlando, of Toms River, N.J., for $2.2 million. Built in 2001, it has four bedrooms, six-and-a-half baths, a pool and 5,161 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $2.55 million in 2004.

Islands West
Wallace and Shirley Devlin, of Sarasota, sold their Unit 10-A condominium at 2525 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Lawrence Ross, of Chesterfield, Mich., for $875,000. Built in 1972, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,460 square feet of living area.

Bay Isles
Dixon Bayou Sound LLC sold the home at 3471 Bayou Sound to John and M.D. Jaqueline Dixon, of Longboat Key, for $800,000. Built in 1991, it has five bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths, a pool and 4,604 square feet of living area.

Longboat Harbour Towers
Jet Enterprises LLC sold the Unit 704 condominium at 4401 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Richard Arenstrup and Donna Walker, of Longboat Key, for $493,000. Built in 1972, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,314 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $155,000 in 1988.

Seaplace
Alan Fleckner, of Gettysburg, Pa., sold his Unit 206 condominium at 1965 Gulf of Mexico Drive to M. Pierre and Christiane Bergeron, of Quebec, Canada, for $420,000. Built in 1977, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,068 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $147,500 in 1986.

Buttonwood Cove
Gloria Schroeder sold her Unit 102 condominium at 3630 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Dana and Laura Hargitt, of Northville, Mich., for $365,000. Built in 1980, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,284 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $112,900 in 1980.

Beach Harbor Club
Nicholas and Virginia Isil sold their Unit F-203 condominium at 3810 Gulf of Mexico Drive to William and Laurel Slade, of Indianapolis, for $250,000. Built in 1970, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,007 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $132,000 in 2000.

Lido Beach House
Diane Green, of University Park, sold her Unit 1 condominium at 945 Benjamin Franklin Drive to Edward and Mary Rossi, of Kirtland, Ohio, for $470,000. Built in 1989, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,518 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $400,000 in 2004.
