The ODA crowd dressed out in all white for their first home game of the season last night against Bradenton Christian School.

In the middle of the first quarter, Bradenton Christian made a field goal, setting the score to 0-3 with five minutes left in the first quarter.

With two minutes and 41 seconds left in the first quarter, senior Max Provost, 52, sacked BCS' quarterback for a safety, giving ODA two points on the board. BCS ended the first quarter with a touchdown, bringing the score to 10-2.

ODA freshman Jason Fineberg, 6, made a significant run after receiving the ball from quarterback, junior Jimmy Kuebler, 2. Kuebler handed off the ball to Fineberg, who rolled and dogged BCS’s defense for a 17-yard run. Fineberg continued to make runs throughout the game.

After the game, Fineberg said he played “all right for a freshman” and has goals to “become faster and stronger."

Out-of-Door coach Brian Hudson rallied five of his players together as the first half came to an end and said, "Dig deep and have some more pride!” He encouraged the players to go all out with one minute left in the first half.

ODA ended the first half strong, with a touchdown by junior Austin Hoppe, 21.

During half time, Timmons gave some words of motivation to the team, “We started off slow but it isn’t about how you start, it’s about how you finish."

Bradenton Christian ended the game with four more touchdowns in the second half, making the final score 38–9. Last night was the first time in eight games that ODA has lost to BCS.

Next Friday, ODA will face Calvalry Christian at Christian Calvary.
