High five moments of the week

1 - The Lakewood Ranch High girls basketball team is now ranked second in the state in Class 7A in the 2013-14 FABC/Source Hoops Girls Basketball State Rankings.

2 - The East Manatee Bulldogs Jr. Pee Wee cheerleading squad finished third in the Small Level 3 Division at the Pop Warner National Cheer Championship Dec. 9, at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports.

3 - Rose Amato scored two goals and added three assists to lead the Cardinal Mooney girls soccer team to an 8-0 victory over Sarasota Military Academy Dec. 10.

4 - The Lakewood Ranch High football and boys cross-country teams finished first in their respective classifications in the Florida High School Athletic Association’s Fall Academic Team Champions.

5 - Lexi Murphy scored the lone goal to lead The Out-of-Door Academy girls soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Bradenton Christian Dec. 9.
