Sarasota Observer news editor and native Sarasotan Nolan Peterson was reunited with his brother Air Force Capt. Drew Peterson Dec. 1, at Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan. Nolan was overseas for two weeks on assignment, while Drew has been on deployment since August as the mission commander of a classified National Reconnaissance Office operation. Nolan will soon return home to continue coverage of Sarasota County news, but will be reunited once again with his brother. Drew just returned to the states from his deployment and they’ll spend the holidays together with their family — parents, Guy and Cindy Peterson, and their grandparents, Wesley and Joan Peterson, all of whom live in Sarasota.
