Local fashionista and style expert Heather Dunhill first introduced me to the quiche sensation from Carr's Corner Café at a dinner party she was hosting. There on the table were two enormous quiche, the size of Carnegie Deli’s famed cheesecakes. The only difference was that these were savory. One was filled with asparagus, roasted red peppers and cheese, the other with broccoli, onions and cheese. Now, imagine a lunch of a slice from one of these creamy baked tortes alongside a salad or fresh fruit.

This is about the best quiche I have ever had---and trust me, I know quiche! I owned two restaurants in the 1980s and quiche du jour was exactly that: an everyday occurrence. Since Carr’s is only open for lunch Monday through Friday, think about pre-ordering a whole one for a group brunch or supper party.

Easter is coming, and Carr’s may be your divine find for holiday quiche ...
