‘Herb Ritts: L.A. Style’ features timeless photographs of fashion, celebrities, and nudes. Ritts, the late famed photographer, created in the 1980s and 1990s what is known as L.A. Style — shooting in natural light in locations around Los Angeles. He shot fashion photography from a fine-art perspective and set the precedent for what commercial photography would become.

Saturday morning, “ViewPoint: An Inspired Eye: The Photographs of Herb Ritts” features Paul Martineau, Associate Curator of Photographs at the J. Paul Getty Museum taking about the collection and his decision making process behind it. It starts at 10:30 a.m. in The Historic Asolo Theater, 5401 Bay Shore Road. Tickets $5. Call 360-7399.
