Bicycle and pedestrian trails have been a priority for Siesta Key residents since the 1970s — they’re back on the agenda.
Sarasota County staff will hold a public meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, at the Siesta Key Chapel to gather input on a draft of the county’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan.
The project combines crash data with analyses of existing trails and facilities to prioritize capital improvements and policies to make Sarasota County more bike and pedestrian friendly.
The county also gathers resident input through a wiki page located here. Create a username and password to participate in the online conversation.
