Our big bash is just one day away, and we have several exciting updates to announce ...

TWISFest just got even more delicious. We are delighted to introduce Darwin's on 4th and the Bijou Café as culinary sponsors for TWISFest's happy hour kick-off. At its hip and vibrant two-story home base, located at 1525 4th St., Darwin's proves every day how perfectly Peruvian fusion cuisine pairs with craft beer. And nobody knows how to do happy hour better than the Bijou, nestled in the heart of downtown at 1287 1st St., where every weekday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. you can wind down at the elegant bar for $5 martinis and scrumptious bar bites like duck quesadilla and crabcake sliders.

While you enjoy snacks and a pint from Growlers Pub's selection of terrific brew, you'll be able to browse our "TWISted Silent Auction" and bid on the team! The TWISlers have really pulled out all the stops, putting together personalized packages of goodies and services. You'll find original artwork, salon products, restaurant gift cards, professional photography services, in-home massage therapy, psychic readings, sporting event and music tickets, homemade and locally-sourced meals, and more. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Resurrection House of Sarasota County.

If you couldn't tell already, the TWIS team is a group of many talents. Sometime during the evening, be sure and visit our arts and film contributor Robin Punsalanwho's not only a successful artist and can write a killer movie review, but is also professional medium and reiki master. As a clairvoyant, Robin focuses on your highest good, helping you to banish energy blocks and you tap into  your own divine power. At TWISFest, she'll be performing 15-minute psychic readings throughout the evening for just $5. The proceeds will also benefit Resurrection House.

If you love baubles and bling, you'll definitely need to stop and see Zoë RayorWhen she's not taking fabulous photos or designing gorgeous posters, she hand-makes one-of-a-kind, upcycled jewelry through her original line, Salvage Jewelry Co. You can shop for your next favorite accessory directly from Zoë at TWISFest.

Don't forget, if you want to strut your stuff in the "Backyard Finds" second-hand fashion show, you can e-mail [email protected] to sign up ahead of time.

We're looking forward to seeing you there!
