Getaway, car
12:50 a.m. — 100 N. Shore Road. Trespassing. Police found three people on the beach after hours and discovered that the driver’s license of one man had been suspended two days earlier. After police told him to remove the car as soon as possible, the man said his girlfriend and another driver would come get the car.

Jan. 10
Anchors aweigh
11:17 p.m. — 6900 block of Bayside Drive. Unsecured Boat. A sailboat anchored in the bay became unmoored and struck a woman’s dock but didn’t cause damage.

Double don’t
11:40 a.m. — 2000 block of GMD. Traffic Violation. Police told a man he couldn’t ride his motor scooter in the bicycle lane. The man also was not aware he was prohibited from driving a scooter because his license is revoked.

Missing targets
2:36 p.m. — 100 block of GMD. Suspicious Circumstance. An anonymous caller said a large group of teens, including one who was holding a rifle, had gathered in a park. Police found neither the teens nor the rifle.

Housekeeping issues
4:21 p.m. — 5000 block of GMD. Suspicious Circumstance. A man called police from Alabama to report that renters arrived at his condo and found that it had dirty dishes, wet towels and garbage and appeared to have been recently occupied. The onsite manager told police that the man believed the maid was cleaning the unit every week, but the man’s wife told the maid not to clean it because she had taken care of it. The manager also said that the couple keeps a key over the door, making entry easy.

Rider down
7:32 a.m. — Gulf of Mexico Drive and Royal Road. Rescue. A woman hit a dead opossum with her bicycle while riding with a group, causing her to lose control and fall to the ground. The woman was hospitalized with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Hello, former neighbor
2:27 p.m. — 600 block of Buttonwood Drive. Disturbance. A man was watering his plants when his former neighbor drove by twice, sticking up his middle finger both times. The man drove after him the second time to write down his license plate number. Police couldn’t find an updated address or phone number for the former neighbor.

Caught on camera
5:07 p.m. — 500 block of Cedar St. Public Service. A shopping plaza owner bought video surveillance cameras to identify the person(s) who keep dumping trash at the property. The man’s camera caught an unknown woman driving a white Ford Explorer dumping two trash bags in the Dumpster. He asked police to warn the woman, but police couldn’t locate her.

PLEASE, DON’T DRIVE
9 p.m. — 3400 block of GMD. Domestic Disturbance. A woman told police that her 22-year-old daughter was trying to drive away in her rental car without permission. The daughter was sitting in the car without the keys in the ignition and told police that her mother was intoxicated and was trying to drive to an unknown establishment. Police agreed that the woman seemed intoxicated and warned her not to drive. The women agreed that they would be able to stay in their hotel room together.

Thanks for the memories
3:03 p.m. — 1600 block of GMD. Trespassing. A man whose vehicle was parked outside of the Colony Beach & Tennis Resort told police he visited the resort for 10 years with his wife, who died recently. He ventured out to the property for the memories.

Out of gas
5:29 p.m. — 1500 block of Harbor Sound Drive. Trespassing. Someone tried to steal gas from a man’s boat over the weekend and removed the cap but was unable to make away with the gas.

Lock ’em up
8:05 p.m. — 4000 block of GMD. Suspicious Circumstance. A woman asked police to check her home to make sure it was secure because she saw a black vehicle parked in the driveway. After police confirmed that the home was secure, the woman said that renters who were staying at the property were supposed to be out the day before but didn’t leave until earlier that day. She was “not happy” because she found that her porch hadn’t been locked after the rental company told her that an employee secured the home.

Jan. 14
Need a ride?
12:04 a.m. — 1700 block of GMD. Traffic Violation. A man whose driver’s license was revoked for five years told police he was only driving because his female passenger was too intoxicated to drive back to her hotel. Police gave the woman a ride to her hotel and the man a ride to jail.

In search of low prices
8:27 p.m. — 1200 block of GMD. Reckless Driving. Police pulled over a driver reported as possibly intoxicated. The driver displayed no signs of impairment. He told police that he was lost and in need of directions to the Walmart on Cortez Road.
