Home in Whitaker's Landing sells for $1,125,000

The following residential real-estate transactions took place between Jan. 7 and Jan. 11.

A home in Whitaker’s Landing tops all transactions in this week’s real estate. Eliot and Lynne Godofsky, of Sarasota, sold their home at 990 Whitaker’s Lane to Kyle and Lydia Lawton, of Sarasota, for $1,125,000. Built in 2000, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, a pool and 3,555 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1.3 million in 2008.

Sapphire Shores
Brian and Victoria Eckl, of University Park, sold their home at 435 S. Shore Drive to Arnold Moschin, trustee, of Sarasota, for $850,000. Built in 2005, it has three bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 3,398 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1,175,000 in 2005.

Pier 550
Jenking Elliot, of Brooklyn, N.Y., sold the Unit 1 condominium at 550 Golden Gate Point to Max Bloom and Carol Bloom, trustees, of Baltimore, Md., for $690,000. Built in 1958, it has two bedrooms, one bath and 1,208 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $52,100 in 1978.

One Hundred Central
Brenton and Careen Yarnal sold their Unit A-301 condominium at 100 Central Ave. to Beth Burak, of Sarasota, for $397,000. Built in 2005, it has one bedroom, two baths and 991 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $520,000 in 2006.

South Gate
Brian and Carole Marshall, trustees, of Sarasota, sold the home at 2126 River Ridge Drive to Theresa Getzen, of Sarasota, for $330,000. Built in 1973, it has three bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 2,041 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $240,000 in 2003.

Desota Park
Nancy Liss, trustee, of Sarasota, sold the home at 1955 Datura St. to Barbara May, of Sarasota, for $320,000. Built in 1951, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,837 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $280,000 in 2010.

Bay’s Bluff
John and Josephine Andrews sold the Unit 505 condominium at 1100 Imperial Drive to Tomas Pettersson, of Arjang, Sweden, for $305,000. Built in 1971, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,141 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $300,000 in 2004.

The Landings Treehouse
Elizabeth Cree, of Dallas, sold her Unit 53 condominium at 1474 Landings Circle to William and Gretchen Mannion, of Sarasota, for $285,000. Built in 1981, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and 2,048 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $167,500 in 1992.

Alinari
Thomas and Sharon Calderone, of Meredith, N.H., sold their Unit 1204 condominium at 800 N. Tamiami Trail to Michele LaSpina, of Sarasota, for $280,000. Built in 2007, it has one bedroom, one-and-a-half baths and 1,070 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $449,000 in 2007.

Palmer Square West
Melvin Burkholder sold the Unit 21 condominium at 3605 Square West Lane to John Howlett, of Grand Island, N.Y., for $265,000. Built in 2002, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 2,021 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $395,000 in 2008.

The Landings South
Rosemary Drybrough sold her Unit 201 condominium at 1730 Starling Drive to Jane Carpenter, of Sarasota, for $230,000. Built in 1988, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,775 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $160,000 in 1988.

Gulf Gate
John and Elizabeth Steiner sold their home at 2908 Post Road to Gardner and Corrine Jones, of Sarasota, for $210,000. Built in 1972, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,708 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $62,500 in 1976.

Stoneybrook Golf and Country Club
Christopher Conant, of Colchester, Vt., sold his home at 9554 Forest Hills Circle to Joseph and Nancy Okruhllca, of Crestwood, Ky., for $320,000. Built in 1997, it has two bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,730 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $217,400 in 1997.

Mara Villa
Beth Owen-Cipielewski, of Osprey, sold her Unit 3 condominium at 7263 Regina Royale Blvd. to Nicholas and Caryn Balamaci, of Scarsdale, N.Y., for $236,000. Built in 1993, it has two bedrooms, three baths and 2,106 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $355,000 in 2003.

Villagewalk
Paul and Deborah Grovum, of Sarasota, sold their home at 7644 Bergamo Ave. to Jennifer Mulz, of North Port, for $219,000. Built in 2004, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and 1,672 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $223,600 in 2004.

James and Bonnie Price, of Engelwood, sold their home at 2047 Timucua Trail to Bobby and Nell Fowlkes, of Nokomis, for $395,000. Built in 1992, it has three bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 2,499 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $272,000 in 2012.
