June 26
Staging a cover-up
6:14 p.m. — 2800 block of GMD.
Code Enforcement. An Italian woman didn’t know she wasn’t allowed to be topless on the beach and agreed to cover up.

June 27
Downed wire
10:42 p.m. — 500 block of Schooner Lane
. Assist Other Agency. Police found a downed phone line and contacted the company, which agreed to send a technician.

Drug disposal
1:35 p.m. — 5400 block of GMD.
Public Service. A woman surrendered 21 bottles of prescription and over-the-counter narcotics for disposal.

Open-and-shut case
7:15 p.m. — 1600 block of GMD.
Vandalism. Police found a door open at a Colony Beach & Tennis Resort unit. The door had approximately $100 worth of damage.

June 28
Check your wallet
9:33 a.m. — 2700 block of GMD
. Property Found. A Public Works employee found a credit card in Bicentennial Park.

Anchor Aweigh
12:08 p.m. — Linley Street
. Boat Violation. Police received a complaint about illegal mooring. After police told the owner he couldn’t tie his boat to a nearby fishing pier nearby, he agreed to move the boat.

Set to sail
2 p.m. — Off the Key.
Assist Other Agency. Police stopped a boat to question the people onboard about a possible theft from another boat. The boaters were checking out a vessel to possibly purchase it.

June 29
Safe and sound
2:52 p.m. — 2200 block of GMD
. Missing Person. A woman couldn’t contact her 22-year-old daughter, who she said had been depressed. Police called the cell phone of the daughter, who said she was fine but didn’t want to give her location.

June 30
Mistaken identity
1:18 a.m. — 200 block of GMD.
Suspicious Person. Police saw two men returning to their vehicles in a parking lot. Then, the men said they were taking a walk. Police told one man he had a non-extraditable traffic warrant out of Clayton County, Ga. The man said the warrant was a mistake, and he had recently been a victim of identity theft.

July 1
Colorful couple
1:17 a.m. — 6800 block of GMD.
Suspicious Circumstance. Police followed a vehicle out of a shopping center, and its driver pulled over without police activating emergency lights. The passenger said she was a salon employee and entered the store to retrieve hair-coloring chemicals with the owner’s permission. The driver was on probation for residential burglary.

Refund or remodel
10:55 a.m. — 2000 block of GMD.
Civil Disturbance. A man’s housekeeper recommended a friend to help with renovations. The condo owner gave the repairman a $500 deposit check. The condo owner hasn’t heard from the man since. Police contacted the man’s company and learned he was doing the project independently. They told him to call back if he doesn’t receive a refund or the man doesn’t complete he work.
